About Antoine A. Pontón

Antoine’s distinctive aesthetic was cultivated in the South. Raised with a large extended family in Southwest Louisiana, he appreciates the art of entertaining for a crowd and knows the importance of maximum functionality and utilization of space. At a young age he worked alongside his mother organizing, planning, and staging the homes, and sometimes businesses, of family and friends. After graduating  from the University of Louisiana in 2006, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he worked in real estate and marketing for a number of years. He remains an active philanthropist and volunteers his time to numerous charitable organizations, including the Carolina Ballet Company & being an inaugural member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board of the YMCA of the Triangle.  These valuable experiences led him to amazing internship opportunities at Beauregard Design in Charleston, South Carolina, and with the late great renowned interior designer Mark Epstein, in New York City. Both of these amazing ventures roused him to pursue his passion for meaningful design in both residential & commercial capacities and found AP Designs.

Through extensive travel nationally and internationally, Antoine developed an understanding of space, flow, style and design that is evident in all his work. Each project perfectly meets all the client’s needs for functionality as well as design. Whether it’s a single family home, townhome, a beach home, mountain getaway cabin, or office/commercial/retail space you will find elements of Antoine’s timeless, classic, and polished signature looks throughout. His ability to incorporate family heirlooms with modern furnishings and pair cherished antiques with updated palettes enables him to curate a look that is truly custom.
